What does chibi mean?
Chibi is Japanese slang for small or short. In drawing it means a character squashed down to two or three heads tall: a big head, big eyes, stubby arms and legs. It's how anime and manga artists draw characters when a scene turns cute or funny.
Ideas for chibi pages
Anyone gets cute at chibi size: an astronaut, a witch on a broom, a barista, a whole family at the beach, a superhero of your own design. Characters from existing shows are trademarked and not supported, so describe your own.
Chibi, anime or kawaii?
Anime draws characters at full height with detailed hair and dynamic poses. Chibi shrinks them into big-headed minis with less detail. Kawaii is cuteness in general and works best on animals, food and objects.

Download and print
Get a print-ready PDF or PNG in US Letter or A4 and print it at home as often as you like.
Frequently asked questions
- Are chibi pages easier to color than anime?
- Usually, yes. Chibi pages have fewer, bigger shapes and less detail than full-size anime characters, which makes them a good fit for younger kids.
- Can I make chibi versions of my family?
- Describe each person (hair, glasses, favorite clothes) and the generator draws them as chibi characters. It's drawn from your words, so expect a playful likeness rather than a portrait.
- Can I make a chibi coloring book?
- Yes. Pick Chibi in the book builder and every page follows it. Add a cover with your title and download a print-ready PDF, with KDP and IngramSpark presets. To sell it, you need a Studio or Studio Pro plan, which include a commercial license.
- Are chibi coloring pages free?
- Yes, to print: every page in the gallery above is free. To make your own, the generator gives you one page with no account, ready in about 15 seconds; it carries a small watermark and may appear in the public gallery. Sign up for 10 free credits, no card. After that, a page from a typed idea costs 1 credit.
- Can I print chibi pages at home?
- Yes. Download a print-ready PDF or PNG in US Letter or A4.
