Raccoon Family Picnic Coloring Page for Late-Elementary

Ages 9–12Cartoon

This cartoon coloring page shows a happy raccoon family having a picnic in a sunlit woods clearing. Two adult raccoons and three kits sit together on a checkered blanket with bowls and baskets neatly arranged. In the background, a small stream with stepping stones meanders past the roots and stumps. Look closely for squirrels peeking from behind tree trunks, plus a butterfly overhead and a curious fox watching from a bush.

Coloring Tips

Use warm “golden tan” for the blanket and baskets, then add darker brown checker shadows to make the pattern pop.

Color the adult raccoons’ faces with gray fur, darker mask markings, and a lighter muzzle highlight for extra cheerful contrast.

For the three kits, mix lighter gray and cream tones on their tummies and paws, then add darker stripes on their tails.

Make the woods bright: lightly green foliage with slightly darker green around the symmetrical leaf shapes, and keep the stream stones gray-blue.

Use colored pencils for clean line-detail: lightly shade squash-and-stretch body shapes, and add a soft yellow-to-orange gradient for the sunlit clearing.
