Coloring Tips

Use rich teal and deep ocean blue for the wave bases, then add bright cyan to the foam swirls and zigzags.

Color the pirate parrot with a mix of emerald green feathers and a warm yellow-orange beak for strong cartoon contrast.

Give the tricorner hat a classic black or dark navy, and color the feather plume with gold or red-orange accents.

Tackle the ship first: paint the curved hull in sandy brown (with a darker brown for the raised bow and rig details).

Since there’s no tonal shading, rely on marker-and-pen layering: light base color, then trace the wave crest foam and rigging lines with a darker coordinating color (no gradient needed).
