Cursive B questions

Does the capital cursive B join the next letter?▾
No. The capital B stands on its own. Lift the pencil and start the next letter just after it, with a small gap.
Why is the join after a cursive b different?▾
The b finishes with a small hook at the middle line instead of on the baseline. The next letter starts from that hook, so "br" and "bo" connect along the middle line.
Which letters are like the cursive b?▾
The b belongs to the loop letters, which swing up from the baseline into a tall loop: b, e, f, h, k, l. Letters in the same group start the same way, so many teachers practice them together.
